After teasing fans with a series of posters from the upcoming political drama, The Accidental Prime Minister, the filmmakers unveiled the trailer of the movie on Thursday. Anupam Kher, who plays the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the Vijay Ratnakar Gutte-directed film, shared the trailer of the film and wrote: “Ladies and Gentlemen! Presenting the trailer of our highly anticipated film The Accidental Prime Minister.” The almost-three-minute trailer chronicles the life of Manmohan Singh and as the Prime Minister of India from 2004-2014, as narrated by Sanjaya Baru in his book of the same name. In appearance, Anupam Kher aces as Manmohan Singh, however, he is not entirely convincingly as the former PM. Akshaya Khanna plays the role of Sanjaya Baru, who was Manmohan Singh’s media advisor from 2004 to 2008. The film’s plot is narrated through Sanjaya Baru’s character.
The Accidental PrimeMinister,delves deep into the internal politics of the Congress party and how Manmohan Singh handled the situations. The trailer also features Aahana Kumra and Arjun Mathur playing the roles of Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi, respectively in the film. You can’t deny their uncanny resemblance to the real-life characters. Suzanne Bernert, who plays the role of Sonia Gandhi, plays a pivotal role in the film.

The Accidental Prime Minister is all set to hit the screens on January 11 next year. Hansal Mehta is the creative producer of the film.
There’s a lot of anticipated built around Kangana Ranaut’s directorial debut Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Just 10 days ahead of its official release, the makers dropped another track from the film titled Bharat. The powerful, patriotism-invoking song has been sung by none other than veteran singer Shankar Mahadevan. The lyrics have been penned by noted lyricist and CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi. In the video, you can see the journey of young Manu becoming the warrior queen Rani Laxmi Bai. Kangana Ranaut is seen wielding swords and showing her skills which she mastered in real life for the film.
The cinematography of the song
is magnificent, tracing the time dating back to the 19th century. The song is a
tribute to Rani Lakshmibai who sacrificed her life fighting against the
colonial rule in India. Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of Manikarnika in
the period drama. Also, the actress has directed some portions of the film
along with Krish Jagalarmudi.
Kangana Ranaut and the entire team of Manikarnika launched the
song in Delhi at a grand launch event. Ankita Lokhande, who’s playing the role
of Jhalkaribai was also present at the event.

The first trailer for Gully Boy, the new film starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, was released online and it was applauded by social media as well as audiences . It’s out and out Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt Movie.
Gully Boy is in part based on the life and struggles of rapper Divine – its name is inspired by his breakout song, Mere Gully Mein – and his troupe of street rappers , who go by the name ‘Gully Gang’. Ranveer plays a young man, whose only means of expressing himself in a harsh world is through rhymes.
He is joined in the film by Alia and Kalki Koechlin, who play contrasting love interests – Alia is a feisty young girl from a background not too different from Ranveer’s character’s, and Kalki represents the mainstream success he aspires to.
Gully Boy is directed by Zoya Akhtar, who last helmed one of four shorts in the Netflix anthology series, Lust Stories. Ranveer recently delivered the biggest solo hit of his career with Simmba, which will shortly cross Rs 200 crores at the Indian box office. Likewise, Alia starred in the critical and commercial success, Raazi, in 2018.
They will reunite on screen in director Karan Johar’s ambitious Mughal era epic, Takht, which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Kareena Kapoor, among others.
Gully Boy will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival’s Berlinale Special category, ahead of its release on February 14. Stay tuned for more updates.
