Superstar Salman Khan has shared a video of himself dancing to the tunes of “Urvasi urvasi” with dance icon Prabhudheva. Actor Kichcha Sudeep of “Eega” and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala are also seen shaking legs with the “Dabangg” star in the video shared on Twitter on Tuesday.
Salman captioned it: “Dance class from the master himself Prabhudheva, Kiccha Sudeep, Sajid Nadiadwala.”
“Urvasi Urvasi” is a Tamil-language song, which was later dubbed into Telugu and Hindi composed by musical maestro A.R. Rahman for the 1994 film “Kadhalan”. The Hindi version of the “Kadhalan” soundtrack is called “Humse Hai Muqabala”. It inspired the title of Rajsirpy’s 1996 film “Take It Easy Urvasi”.
The 53-year-old star has become very active on social media lately. He has been giving his fans a sneak peek into his personal life, work schedules and fitness regime.
The actor, who was last seen in “Bharat”, is currently shooting for “Dabangg 3”. Salman Khan will also be sharing screen with actress Alia Bhatt in “Inshallah”.
Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkummar Rao will star in a new original film for Netflix based on Arvind Adiga’s Man Booker-winning novel The White Tiger. The film will be directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Ramin Bahrani, known for films like Chop Shop, 99 Homes and Fahrenheit 451.
The shoot of The White Tiger will begin this fall in India, Netflix said in a statement. The Reed Hastings-owned streaming service is producing The White Tiger in association with Mukul Deora, while Bahrani will be writing the screenplay besides taking the director’s chair. Chopra Jonas will also serve as executive producer.
“I’m so excited to work with Ramin Bahrani and Netflix to bring Aravind Adiga’s poignant story to cinematic life. When I read the book, I was fascinated with the perspective of the narrative. The story’s portrayal of raw ambition and the extent one will go to achieve one’s goals is riveting. I look forward to filming this in India this fall, and also working along with Rajkummar Rao for the first time and the wonderful cast Ramin is putting together,” Chopra Jonas said in a statement.
Adiga’s novel that follows the extraordinary journey of a self-made man from tea-shop worker in a village to successful entrepreneur in a big city, is the latest of the many books Netflix has adapted for its shows, after crime thriller Sacred Games whose second season came out this August and spy thriller Bard of Blood that is due for release late September. It is also looking to tweak its elite reputation in India, wooing smaller towns and diverse audiences with content, pricing and product design.
“It’s an exciting time for actors today and I’m thrilled to be a part of such a world-class project. I’ve been an admirer of Ramin’s work and am excited to see The White Tiger come to life with Netflix,” said Rao, who had earlier done a show called Bose: Dead/Alive for ALTBalaji.
On the work front Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be seen with Farhan Akhtar in The Sky is Pink and Rajkummar Rao is working on Made in China with Mouni Roy, Roohi Afza with Jhanvi Kapoor, Stree 2 and Life in a Metro sequel. Stay tuned for more updates of Bollywood.
Rajkummar Rao’s latest release with Kangana Ranaut “Judgemental hai kya” has not done well on box office.
In the modern age of cinema, there is no lack of talent. This is why when someone is given an opportunity to work with a renowned person, it matters more about the opportunity rather than worrying about personal achievements. This is something that Alia Bhatt has on her mind as she prepares for her Telugu debut in S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR.
Sources close to the team working on the film have revealed that Alia Bhatt’s role in the film will be a guest appearance. She is rumoured to appear in a few scenes and a song. Reacting to the rumours, this is what Alia had to say about them, “After I was launched by Karan Johar I had two dream directors on my wish list. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and S S Rajamouli. I don’t care about the length of my role in RRR. Just working with him is enough. I’ve taken lessons in Telugu to do this film. Can’t say I speak the beautiful language like a native. But I am trying.” She is expected to be on the sets of the film in September in Hyderabad.
Speaking of her dream directors, Alia was almost going to have her chance to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She was set to appear opposite Salman Khan in Bhansali’s Inshallah but the film was shelved due to creative differences. A source close to Alia had revealed that she was very upset about it. This was because not only was she looking forward to working with the two but she had also given up on an Osho biopic directed by Aamir Khan. The Osho biopic’s dates were clashing with Inshallah and Alia chose the latter. Nevertheless, she still has the chance to work with one of her dream directors. Going by the efforts she’s putting in for it, she probably will nail the role.
Meanwhile on the work front Alia has her hands full with movie like Brahmastra with beau Ranbir Kapoor, Takht, Sadak 2 a movie she is doing for the first time with papa Mahesh Bhatt amongst others. On personal front the rumour are rife that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to get married next year and that the preparations have started. Stay tuned for more updates.
