The trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thackeray is unveiled today however hours ahead of the trailer launch, CBFC has raised objection to few scenes and dialogues in the film.
The CBFC has reported objected against a particular Babri Masjid scene and another dialogue ‘Yandu Gundu’ which has been used against the South Indian community staying in Mumbai. Shiv Sena politician Sanjay Raut, who is also the film’s producer, however, maintains that the makers will go ahead with the trailer launch today.
The film has been directed by Abhijit Panse and has been written by Raut. While Nawazuddin plays the titular role of Balasaheb Thackeray in the film, Amrita Rao plays his wife, Meena Tai Thackeray. The film is reportedly a biopic on Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.
The film is slated to release on January 23, 2019, on the birth anniversary of Balasaheb Thackeray. When the first teaser of the film was released a year back, it left the viewers intrigued. The makers then dropped another teaser to get the viewers excited and as expected, the fans can’t help but wait for the trailer release. Here’s the trailer.
