Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are legally single now

Over two years after filing for divorce, actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are legally single now.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a judge accepted their request for bifurcation, which means they can be legally considered single, despite the fact that they are not officially divorced yet.

“Both parents are focused on what’s best for the kids,” a source told people.com. The couple share six children together, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Pitt and Jolie got married in 2014 but two years later, they filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

The “Wanted” actress demanded physical custody of the children. Since then, the two have been in ongoing negotiations over custody and dividing their finances.

In June 2018, a judge established a detailed schedule for Pitt to spend time with the children (except Maddox, who according to the court is old enough to decide for himself how much time he wants to spend with his father).

In November 2018, the pair reached a temporary child custody agreement “to keep things moving along in the right direction”.

Renner feels blessed to play make-believe for living

Actor Jeremy Renner shot to fame with his role as the bow wielding Hawkeye from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He says he enjoys every moment of suiting up and essaying the mighty hero and feels blessed to play “make-believe” for a living.

He first got his full-fledged role in Marvel films with “The Avengers” in 2012 and went on to play Hawkeye in movies, including “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. Check out the trailer here:

“I like every moment (of playing Hawkeye). I like showing up on sets. I feel blessed to be able to play make-believe for a living. It’s my job. I think the greatest takeaway will be my friendships over the last decade with not just the cast but guys like the first assistant director,” Renner told select media, including IANS, here.

There is a buzz about his exit from the franchise that also stars actors like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson.

When asked whether the forthcoming “Avengers: Endgame” will be his last Marvel movie, he said: “I don’t know. I feel like there is never a last thing in Marvel. Marvel is a giant universe of storytelling. I don’t believe there is ever a finish line. So, I would say no.” If not films, Renner’s Hawkeye, an archery ace, might get his own series.

Renner was not part of last year’s “Avengers: Infinity War” that saw its supervillain Thanos successfully turning half of the universe into dust.

“I just saw it and it bothered me. I felt glad that I wasn’t in it. All the people turned into dust. That’s terrible. I am so glad that I was on a vacation,” he quipped.

The “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” actor also recalled the moment when he was cast as Hawkeye and the fear he had before joining MCU.

“I think it is just our lack of information or knowledge or ignorance towards certain event or thing that makes us fearful. When it comes to MCU, initially I thought ‘I don’t know if I ever want to be a 50-year-old in tights’. I remember that being a fear for me.

“I was finishing ‘The Hurt Locker’ and I was like…. ‘I don’t want to be in this costume when I am older. I am not sure how I’ll be looking in tights’. So to address that fear…I guess I just had to keep trying on costumes and keep working out,” shared the 48-year-old.

Allison Mack pleads guilty in ‘Sex Cult’ case

“Smallville” actress Allison Mack has pleaded guilty to blackmailing two women into becoming sex slaves for the leader of the NXIVM sex slave cult.
Mack entered a guilty plea to multiple felonies in a Brooklyn court on Monday, reports dailymail.co.uk.

Mack, 36, sobbed as she admitted her crimes and apologized to the women who prosecutors say were exploited by Keith Raniere and the purported self-help group called NXIVM.

“Through it all, I believed that Keith Raniere’s intentions were to help people,” Mack told a judge. “I was wrong. I now realise that I and others engaged in criminal conduct.”The “Smallville” actress was sobbing so much at one point that the judge stopped to offer her tissues.

She had been charged with racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy forced labour conspiracy, sex trafficking conspiracy, sex trafficking and attempted sex trafficking.

Mack was facing life in prison if convicted on those charges, but she is now likely to be given a more lenient sentence if she testifies against the other defendants in the case.

Mack said that at Raniere’s direction, she obtained compromising information and images of two unidentified women — called ‘collateral’ within the group — that she threatened to make public if they didn’t perform “so-called acts of love”.

The plea means Mack will avoid going to trial with Raniere, wealthy heiress Clare Bronfman and another member of Raniere’s inner circle, Kathy Russell. All have pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.
