When versatile actor like Ayushmann Khurrana and ace filmmaker Anubhav Sinha come together, film like ‘Article 15’ happens. The movie, which is based on the Article 15 of the Indian Constitution which prohibits discrimination on the grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth, has the audience waiting for its release. After intriguing the viewers with the poster and teaser, the makers unveiled the trailer of the film and apart from sending a chill running down your spine, it is sure to give you goosebumps.
It is inspired by the true events of the infamous 2014 Badaun gang rape. In the film, three sisters working on daily wages are harassed for demanding hike of mere three rupees in their respective payments because they are Dalits. As a result, the two are brutally gang-raped, murdered with their bodies left hanging on a tree. Ayushmann is seen searching for one of the three sisters. During the course of his investigations, Ayushmann unravels a system which is largely divided by cast and to what extent! Check out the trailer :
The film also features actors like Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Nassar, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub who have seemed to have put up a powerful act in the film. Ayushmann, not only looks convincing as a tough cop but will also leave you impressed by his sheer talent.
